Suppressions

Your account stores a list of email addresses and domains that are automatically suppressed (stopped) from receiving emails due to:

Hard Bounces
Spam Complaints
Unsubscribes
Manually added

These are stored in your Suppression List. Within the SMTP2GO user interface, you can manage your suppressions to improve your deliverability and enhance the reach of your emails.

Block Reasons

When reviewing or removing your suppressions, you will notice that they will be categorised into suppression reasons. Below are a list of possible suppression reasons and their definitions:

manual - A suppression added manually through the App
spam - A suppression added as a result of a spam complaint
bounce - A suppression added as a result of a bounce
unsubscribe - A suppression added as a result of an unsubscribe request
